Hello there.

Yeah, this site is still up. Crazy. Alas, Atomic Fire is no more, and my fickle heart has brought us to The Mega Man Network.

I haven't totally forgotten about this site, and amazingly I still receive appreciation for it from time to time (okay, like, twice that I can think of, but still good for a site that I practically never update). It's also been sourced on Wikipedia, which is pretty cool.

Believe it or not I still have some ideas in mind for updating this site. Mostly fixing a couple layout glitches and getting rid of the ads, which are useless now. However, I also have some actual content planned. Hopefully I can get to that before I have to relocate the site again.

Volt-whatter?

So I've slacked of a bit here, but really, what would I have updated with anyway during that time? I suppose the big news is that I'm no longer part of Planet Mega Man, and I've started a new venture called Atomic Fire (which I bet you knew anyway since you probably came here through AF). So far now all I've done is cleaned up some files to reflect the move to AF, and naturally the one or two people who bookmarked this site on accident should update their links with http://volteccer.atomic-fire.com/. Summer is coming up soon and I may see additional time to do updates here, but honestly, it's probably just going to be fan art provided I receive anymore. So yeah, I guess, keep sending your art and liking Pulseman. Cool.

Oh, and looking back, it appears this site is already a year old (discounting three months or so worth of PMM down time). So congrats to the site, I suppose.

Well now, it appears that the PMM server is back from it's two month long sleep/drunken stupor. Volteccer itself seems to be alright, although I need to get the ads changed sometime. The music also wasn't restored, probably due to its size, so I'll get that up later today perhaps.

Incidentally my interest in Pulseman has waned a bit due to the downtime, as well as new Mega Man games appearing on the horizon. So I guess all that means is I won't be fleshing out the game guide any time soon. Nonetheless, I did design this site with the notion I'd be ignoring it most of the time, so I'm fine with that. Of course any submitted fan art I'll post reasonable quickly, so don't be afraid to send in your work.

Received another fan art submission, a marvelous one from DJ Medina. You know with today's radically advancing imaging technology and continually evolving software like PhotoShop and Illustrator, it's still impressive the things you can pull off in a simple program like MS Paint.

Last night I received my very first fan art submission. A sketched piece by The Helldragon featuring a couple mugs of Pulseman and an image of Veil. It's very cool, and I thank Hell for submitting the work. I hope I see more.

I've also been getting reports that my statement about Pulseman never coming to American isn't 100% true. Apparently it was among some other games, such as Mega Man the Wily Wars, to appear exclusively on the ill-fated Sega Channel, something I never has in my childhood. Nevertheless, apparently the game wasn't translated either. I've also heard rumor that translated version does exist and was released for the European market, but I have yet to see any evidence of such a thing.

In other news, my friend and fellow PMM staffer Forte Wily tells me that after years of working exclusively on Pokémon games, GameFreak is finally producing an original: Screw Breaker for the GBA. I haven't seen very much of it (and wasn't aware of it at all while I attented E3, shame), but it looks interesting. Anyway, point is, if GameFreak is looking beyond Pokémon again, then just maybe they'll look back into Pulseman. That would certainly make my day. Heck, I've always thought Pulseman would be a terrific GBA game. I've even envisioned being part of developing and expanding the game into a series, though that's more of a pipe dream. Regardless, an exciting possibility nevertheless. Of course, a small part of me relents the idea. I was hoping work on this site would be nothing more than a minor sinecure.

Well... I certainly did forget about this thing. Surprise surprise. Anyway, the Game section is at least partially up, and everything else ought to be alright. I feel the site is ready for public opening. Hello everybody. Now I can go back to ignoring this for another month.

The site is officially up, whoo (well, this marks the day that the DNS for the subdomain actually cleared). Now I can get started on tossing up some content before I make the site public.

I have to be honest, considering this website is in homage of a single videogame that was made ten years ago, I doubt I'm gonna be updating all too much after I get the main content up. That's just the nature of things. Who knows, maybe this site'll encourage Game Freak to continue the series. *snickers*
